Magdalene Hilton

     Magdalene Hilton was born on 1 April 1671 at York, York Co, Maine. She was the daughter of Mainwaring Hilton and Mary Moulton. Magdalene Hilton married Nathaniel Adams circa 1692. Magdalene Hilton married Elias Weare on 1 April 1697.¹ Magdalene Hilton married John Webber, son of Samuel Webber and Deborah Littlefield, in 1709 at York, York Co, Maine. Magdalene Hilton died on 4 February 1725 at York, York Co, Maine, at age 53.^2,3
     Magdalene was taken captive by the Indians at the time of the York Massacre in January 1692. She was taken to Canada and released after four years' captivity in October 1696.^2,1
