     Jane Hepburn was born before 1812 at Saint John Co, New Brunswick. She was the daughter of Alexander Hepburn and Mabel Belding. Jane Hepburn married Matthew Partelow Jr., son of Matthew Partelow and Allithea (?), on 13 January 1833 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Married by G.C. Carmen, Esq., in Lancaster parish. They were also both residents of Lancaster parish.1,2 Jane Hepburn married David Woodhill on 1 March 1846 at Village Church, Portland, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.3 Jane Hepburn died on 21 June 1877 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.4 She was buried at Fernhill Cemetery, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.5
     She appeared on the census of 1851 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Jane Woodill, wid, 39, Edward, 15, Charles, 12, William, 4, and John, 2. Her sister, Anna Hepburn, 25, was also enumerated with the family.
The first two sons were Partelows, not Woodhills.
