     Zella Winifred Cheyne was born on 10 July 1893 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.1 She was the daughter of John Frederick Cheyne and Rebecca McLellan Wood. Zella Winifred Cheyne married Ernest Hugh Chalmers on 1 December 1921 at Bathurst, Gloucester Co, New Brunswick.2 Zella Winifred Cheyne married Frank Gilliland in July 1946.3 Zella Winifred Cheyne died on 14 November 1948 at Gloucester Co, New Brunswick, at age 55.3 She was buried at West Bathurst Cemetery, Bathurst, Gloucester Co, New Brunswick.4,3
     Zella was a nurse, who received her training at Saint John's General Hospital, and later worked at Bathurst.3
