     Nathaniel Cottle Belding was born on 12 February 1877 at Saint John Co, New Brunswick.1,2 He was the son of Jesse Belding and Mary Belding. Nathaniel Cottle Belding married Alma Beatrice Trafton on 22 June 1904 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.3 Nathaniel Cottle Belding died on 21 March 1957 at New Brunswick at age 80; Nathaniel was aged 80 years and was a retired fisherman.4
     He appeared on the census of 1911 at Chance Harbour, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Nthaniel Belding, 35, Alma, 30, Avengeline, 6, Gertrude, (age scribbled - b. Oct 1907), along with his mother Mary, 76 (Jul 1834) and brother Winslow, 40 (Feb 1871.)5
