     Carleton Cottle was born circa 1821.1 He married Eliza Ann Belding, daughter of David Belding and Jane Thomas, on 27 September 1853 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Carleton Cottle was of Gagetown, Queens County.2 Carleton Cottle died on 20 November 1879 at Chance Harbour, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.1
