Chrotrud of Alemannia was born between 690 and 695 at Austrasia. She was the daughter of Leutwinus and Willigarde of Bavaria. Chrotrud of Alemannia married Charles Martel King of Franks, son of Pepin II of Heristal and Aupais (concubine). Chrotrud of Alemannia died circa 724.
Chrotrud of Alemannia was also known as Rotrude of Treves. Chrotrud was the wife of Charles Martel and mother of the king Pepin the Short. According to Frankish tradition, she was the daughter of Saint Leutwinus, son of Gunza and one Count Warinus, himself the son of Sigrada and Bodilan. Her mother, whose name was not known, was said to be the daughter of Doda and Rodobertus, son of Lantbertus I.
