Martha Salls was born on 19 August 1852 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. She was the daughter of Isaac Salls Jr. and Mary Melissa Derick. Martha Salls was baptized on 7 February 1853 at Clarenceville Methodist Church, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 She married William Turner Mandigo, son of William Copp Mandigo and Catherine Amanda Fadden, after 1874. Martha Salls died on 28 May 1926 at Ste-Sebastien, Iberville Co, Quebec, at age 73.2 She was buried on 31 May 1926 at School House Cemetery, Brockville, Iberville Co, Quebec.2
She and William Turner Mandigo appeared on the census of 1881 at Ste-Sebastien, Iberville Co, Quebec; William T. Mandigo, 40, Martha, 26, Henrietta, 15, W, Asahel, 13, Samuel E., 11, Ernest M, 9, and Bertha, 1. William listed his ethnic origin as Italian, and they were Anglican.3 Martha Salls appeared on the census of 1901 at Brome, Brome Co, Quebec; This census shows William Mandigo, born 3 Sep 1833 and Martha born 4 Sep 1834. Not likely, since she her birth was recorded as 19 Aug 1852 on her baptsimal record.4 She and William Turner Mandigo appeared on the census of 1911 at Ste-Sebastien, Iberville Co, Quebec; William F. Mandigo, 73, (Sep 1838), and wife Martin (transcription error), 57 (Aug 1854) along with grandson Walter O. Smith, 12 (Aug 1899).5
