     Daniel Tryon Nokes was born on 10 November 1812 at Christie's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. He was the son of Stephen Nokes and Jane Longeway. Daniel Tryon Nokes was baptized on 29 January 1813 at Christie's Manor, Missisquoi Co, Quebec. He married Angelina Keet, daughter of Jonathan Keet and Sarah Lamb, on 20 November 1837 at St Armand, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; St Armand Methodist Church. Daniel Tryon Nokes died on 2 February 1881 at Lineboro, Stanstead, Stanstead Co, Quebec, at age 68.1 He was buried on 4 February 1881 at Marlington Cemetery, Stanstead, Stanstead Co, Quebec.1
     He witnessed the burial of Marie Geneviève Raimond on 3 September 1846 at St George's Anglican Cemetery, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; The gravestone is engraved that she was aged 100 years. Daniel Tryon Nokes left a will on 20 December 1852 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; Daniel's Last Will was very similar to his wife's. After his wife's death, he named his three sisters: Daniel Mandigo, son of Morea Mandigo and Mary Noakes, Guilford Mandigo, s/o Ira Mandigo and Hester Noakes, and their other children. It would "not take place until the decease of the survivor of Briggs Wait, my stepfather and his wife Jane Langevin my mother".2
