     Francis Augustus Wood was born on 16 May 1864 at New Brunswick.1 He was the son of William Charles Wood and Susan Ann Cole.1 Francis Augustus Wood married Sarah J. Brosnihan, daughter of Mary (?), on 23 November 1881 at Stoneham, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; Francis A. Wood, 20, cutler, b. Saint John, New Brunswick, and Sarah J. Brosnehan, 18, b. Stoneham, MA were married by D.J. O'Farrell, Catholic Priest.2 Francis Augustus Wood was buried in August 1938 at St Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; SECTION 2 EAST SIDE SOUTH | Path: 9 | Lot: 181 Grave: 4.3 He died in August 1938 at Stoneham, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts, at age 74.4
     He appeared on the census of 16 July 1870 in the household of William Charles Wood and Susan Ann Cole at Brighton, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; William Wood, 44, carpenter, b. Nova Scotia, Susan A., 41, b. Nova Scotia, and Francis A., 8, b. Nova Scotia. Also in the household was the family of John H. Lynch, 46, carpenter, also b. Nova Scotia. His wife Jane, b. England and five children, all born Massachusetts.5 Francis Augustus Wood appeared on the census of 11 June 1900 at Stoneham, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; Frank A. Wood, 36, Sarah J., 35, John F., 17, Mary E., 16, and Francis A., 4. They had been married for 18 years and had three children, all still living. The record shows he came to the US in 1895, but he had been there for 35 years. This would mean he actually came in 1865, not 1895.6 He appeared on the census of 2 May 1910 at Stoneham, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; Frank A. Wood, 47, Sarah J., 46, Mary E., 26, Francis A., 14, and Eunice L., 8. The year of immigration is shown as 1866.7 He appeared on the census of 21 January 1920 at Pond Street, Stoneham, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; Frank A. Wood, 57, Sarah J., 56, Mary E., 35, Francis A., 23, and Bernice L., 18. They were living at 23 Pond Street and Frank was a janitor at a church. The record states he came to the US in 1864 and was naturalized in 1866.8      Newspaper shows that Frank Wood was caught in a very perilous situation while working. Clipping is added.9 He appeared on the census of 11 April 1930 at 23 Pond Street, Stoneham, Middlesex Co, Massachusetts; Frank A. Wood, 66, Sarah J., 67, and Mary E., 46.10
