Prudence Covey was born on 14 April 1799 at Quebec. She was the daughter of Samuel Covey Jr. and Permelia Burr. Prudence Covey married William Scott, son of Thomas Scott and Anna Willoughby, on 15 August 1816 at St George's Anglican Church, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.1 Prudence Covey died on 2 May 1887 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec, at age 88. She was buried on 4 May 1887 at Union Cemetery, Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.2
She witnessed the marriage of John Scott and Mary Tallman on 7 May 1821 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; Mary was widow of John Spoor of Noyan and John Scott was also of Noyan.3
