     Martha "Patty" Smith married Artemus Bruce. Martha "Patty" Smith was born circa 1751 at Shrewsbury, Worcester Co, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Zachariah Smith and Lydia Hastings. Martha "Patty" Smith was baptized on 3 February 1751. She died on 3 October 1837 at Pomfret, Windham Co, Connecticut.1
