Bertram Alden Tryon was born on 1 August 1878 at Moira, Franklin Co, New York.1,2 He was the son of William Emmet Tryon and Martha L. Gale. Bertram Alden Tryon married Mabel Germaine on 14 February 1900.3 Bertram Alden Tryon died on 13 August 1935 at Keene Valley, Essex Co, New York, at age 57.4 He was buried on 16 August 1935 at Norton Cemetery, Keene Valley, Essex Co, New York; Service was held at the Interbrook Lodge, where he was proprietor.4
He appeared on the census of 1 June 1900 at Keene, Essex Co, New York; Burt A. Tryon was aged 21 and a servant in the employ of Edna Weaton.1 As of 8 June 1900, Bertram Alden Tryon was also known as Scott Tryon.5 On an unknown date , Bert Tryon registered on 10 September 1918 in Essex County. It was recorded he was short, medium build, with blue eyes and brown hair. He was a truck driver.2 Bert "was afflicted with asthma when he lived in Moira. He came to Keene Valley where he set up shop as a barber and where he hoped the drier air would relieve his difficult breathing. After he became settled and more established, Uncle Bert brought his mother Martha and his younger sister, Beatrice to Keene Valley from Moira.6 He appeared on the census of 1930 at Keene, Essex Co, New York; Bertram Tryon, 50 and wife Mabel, 47, along with Paul R., 29, and his wife Cecelia A., 32, and Paul V., 1 and 6/12.7
