Sarah Salls was born on 3 April 1786; The census for 1851 shows her born Canada, but it is likely she was born Canaan.1 She was the daughter of Jacob Salls and Margaret Taylor. Sarah Salls was baptized on 27 February 1787 at Canaan, Columbia Co, New York.2 She married Enoch Wait, son of George Wait and Elizabeth (?), circa 1814. Sarah Salls died on 15 August 1865 at Lingwick, Compton Co, Quebec, at age 79. She was buried on 16 August 1865 at Presbyterian Cemetery, Lingwick, Compton Co, Quebec.
She witnessed the baptism of Peter Alexander Gorham on 21 June 1825 at Noyan, Missisquoi Co, Quebec; Nathan Smith was an additional witness.3
