     Mamie Etta Smith was born on 30 April 1896 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick.1 She married Carey Spurgeon Wood, son of William Judson Wood and Eveline Daley. Mamie Etta Smith died on 8 February 1966 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick, at age 69.2 She was buried on 10 February 1966 at Ocean View Memorial Gardens, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick;      Mamie was buried in the Garden of Serman of the Mount, Lot 2 C space 2.2
     She witnessed the marriage of Nicolai Larsen and Audrey May Wood Davidson on 20 June 1931 at Edith Avenue Baptist Church, Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; Nicolai was aged 22 years and a mechanic, while Audrey was 19. Both were Baptists living in East Saint John.3
