John Scott married Martha Bennett, daughter of Jonathan Bennett and Martha Parsons, on 18 December 1793 at St Andrews, Charlotte Co, New Brunswick.2,1 John Scott died before 7 July 1803; "Est. John Scott, Qtr. Mst. Sgt., Kings N.B. Regt., Saint John Admin. Martha Scott, Portland parish."3 His estate was probated on 7 July 1803 at Saint John, Saint John Co, New Brunswick; The record shows he was "late a Sergeant of the King's New Brunswick Regiment." Administration was granted to his widow, Martha Scott, of Saint John.4
