     Margaret Salls was born on 10 June 1786 at Columbia Co, New York; Margaret's parentage is not yet proven, but we do know from census records in 1790 and 1800 that Samuel and Rachel had a daughter before 1790.2,1 She was the daughter of Samuel Salls and Rachel (?)1 Margaret Salls married William Stranahan between 1801 and 1803 at Columbia Co, New York.1 Margaret Salls died on 27 October 1869 at Fayette Co, Iowa, at age 83.2 She was buried at Grandview Cemetery, Fayette, Fayette Co, Iowa.2
