     Sarah A. Wood was born on 1 May 1813 at Nova Scotia.1,2 She married Nelson Wood, son of Nehemiah Marble Wood and Rebecca Rawlins, on 6 February 1833 at River Phillip, Cumberland Co, Nova Scotia.3,1,4 Sarah A. Wood was buried in 1897 at Pinesbridge Cemetery, Beacon Falls, New Haven Co, Connecticut.1 She died on 1 May 1897 at 51 Carmel Avenue, Beacon Falls, New Haven Co, Connecticut, at age 84;
     Her obituary mentions she moved from Lowell, Mass. to Beacon Falls, Connecticut in 1863, remaining there until 1896. Her husband, Nelson, had died August 1895, so she visited among her children. She moved in with her daughter Mrs. R.A. Libbey at that time and lived there until her death. She had been ill for a time, and was confined to bed from January on.She left four daughters, and a son: Mrs. Virgil Buckingham, Seymour; Mrs. R.A. :ibbey, New Haven; Mrs. David T. Sanford, Fitchburg; Mrs. Henry F. Peck, Bethany; Mis Ella E, Wood, and Ephraim Wood of New Haven.2,1
