     Margaret Lavinia Salls was born on 15 January 1863 at Fort Covington, Franklin Co, New York.¹ She was the daughter of Merritt Alonzo Salls and Lydia Maria Young. Margaret Lavinia Salls was baptized on 26 March 1863 at Clarenceville, Missisquoi Co, Quebec.² She married William Alexander Mott, son of Moses Mott and Martha Creighton, on 24 February 1881 at Fort Covington, Franklin Co, New York.^3,1 Margaret Lavinia Salls and William Edward Scott have also be reported to have been married 30 September 1887 Worcester, Worcester Co, Massachusetts.¹ Margaret Lavinia Salls married William Edward Scott, son of Gilbert Scott and Judith Elizabeth Tryon, on 29 September 1888 at Worcester, Worcester Co, Massachusetts.^4,5 Margaret Lavinia Salls died on 4 September 1940 at Clinton, Worcester Co, Massachusetts, at age 77. She was buried on 8 September 1940 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Clinton, Worcester Co, Massachusetts.⁶
